Terms of Service
Last updated: August 10, 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service govern your use of LLM Primer. By using the service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. In these Terms, we means LLM Primer.
2. What LLM Primer Provides
LLM Primer is a learning publication about machine learning and large language models. It provides public lessons, exercises, browser-based code and diagrams, personal progress, notes, study sessions, content reporting, and optional community features. Some subjects or features can be limited to reviewers or readers who have been granted access.
Features and curriculum can change as material is reviewed. A page marked In review is still being edited and is not ready for general publication. We may add, revise, move, restrict, or remove content and features.
3. Accounts and Eligibility
You can read public lessons without an account. To create an account, you must be at least 13 and old enough to consent to account data processing under the law where you live. We do not currently provide a process for verifying parental or guardian consent. If your local law requires that verification, do not create an account.
Accounts use Google or GitHub sign-in. You must not use another person's identity or permit unauthorized access to your signed-in browser. We do not receive your Google or GitHub password. Your use of either provider remains subject to that provider's terms.
Different providers can create separate LLM Primer accounts until provider linking is available. Access roles and subject entitlements belong to the LLM Primer account to which they were granted and may not be transferred without approval.
4. Learning Data and Your Content
Progress, exercise responses, notes, highlights, study-session details, project-workspace files, reports, and preferences may be kept in your browser and synchronized to LLM Primer when you are signed in. Synchronization is a convenience, not a guaranteed backup. Keep a separate copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.
You retain your rights in text you write. You give us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, reproduce, and display that text only as needed to provide, secure, and maintain the feature you used. For example, private notes and challenge check-ins are displayed to you; content reports are shown to authorized reviewers; and profile or Learning Hall information you choose to publish is shown publicly. This license ends when the information is deleted, except for lawful retention and temporary backup or security needs. Routine storage administration uses metadata. An owner may inspect private project files only for a specific safety, security, abuse, or support need, with a written audit record as described in the Privacy Policy.
Do not submit content that is unlawful, harmful, infringing, or that you do not have the right to provide. Do not place passwords, private keys, authentication codes, payment details, or unnecessary personal information in notes, reports, or project files.
5. Acceptable Use
You must not:
- break applicable law or infringe another person's rights;
- introduce malicious code or use the service to harm a system;
- gain or attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, data, or restricted content;
- evade access controls, rate limits, or other safeguards;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation;
- harass others or place unlawful material in user-submitted fields;
- collect personal information from the service without authorization; or
- use automated requests in a way that disrupts the service or ignores published crawler instructions.
These rules do not prevent ordinary search-engine indexing, use of accessibility tools, personal study, or reasonable linking.
6. LLM Primer Content
Unless a separate license says otherwise, LLM Primer's lessons, exercises, diagrams, software, design, and branding are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. They are provided for personal, non-commercial learning. You may quote short passages with attribution and link to public pages. You may not republish substantial portions, sell copies, remove attribution, or present the material as your own without permission.
Copyright notices and requests are handled under the Copyright and DMCA Policy.
7. Educational and Technical Limitations
LLM Primer is for education, not professional, academic, employment, financial, medical, or legal advice. Completing material does not guarantee a qualification, examination result, job, income, or model performance.
Educational content and interactive checks can contain mistakes or become outdated. Browser code runs in a constrained environment and can behave differently from a local or production system. Verify important results independently and report suspected errors.
8. Availability and Changes
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not promise uninterrupted access, permanent storage, error-free operation, or continued availability of any route, lesson, feature, provider, or subject. Maintenance, failures, security events, legal requirements, or editorial changes can interrupt or alter the service.
9. Free and Paid Features
Public reading is currently available without payment. If paid services are introduced, the price, billing period, included resources, usage limits, cancellation terms, and any refund policy will be shown before purchase. These Terms do not authorize a charge that was not disclosed to you.
10. Suspension, Termination, and Deletion
You may stop using LLM Primer at any time and may delete your account from the Account page. Account deletion does not cancel an independently requested update-list subscription.
We may restrict or terminate an account, role, entitlement, or feature access when reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, non-payment of an applicable charge, legal compliance, or a violation of these Terms. Where appropriate, access may first be suspended while the issue is reviewed.
11. Disclaimers and Liability
To the extent permitted by law, LLM Primer disclaims implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and reliability. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the extent permitted by law, LLM Primer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, income, opportunity, goodwill, or use arising from the service. LLM Primer's total liability related to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid LLM Primer during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or US$100. This limit does not apply where applicable law does not permit it.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the service changes. The revision date appears above. Material changes will be communicated where reasonably possible and where required by law. If a change requires your consent, we will ask for it.
13. General Terms
These Terms and the policies they link to form the agreement about your use of the service. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. A failure to enforce a provision once does not waive the right to enforce it later. These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory local law gives you additional rights.
